**Underwriting Assistant**

**Job Location**: Maidstone, ME14

**Working days**: 5 days office based for 6 months, the move to hybrid working

**Contract**: Permanent Role

**Description-**
The Underwriting Assistant supports the underwriting teams in writing business on behalf of my client, the capacity providers, and other stakeholders. The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for the administration of risks, capturing risk data in the system, preparing renewal and quote information and any other task that supports the underwriters in the underwriting process.

**Reports to-**
Reports to Senior Terrorism and Senior Property Underwriter's.

**Main Responsibilities-**
The major areas of activity undertaken by the Underwriting Assistant include, but are not limited to:

- Preparing quote information
- Inputting risk data into the underwriting system at all stages of the risk assessment and underwriting process
- Maintaining underwriting documentation and information records
- Preparing renewal information for underwriters and issuing renewal notices
- Chasing outstanding premiums
- Distributing underwriting reports to stakeholders
- Requesting missing information from brokers
- Ensuring all underwriting support tasks are carried out in a timely manner
- Engaging with underwriters to develop and enhance workflows and processes
- Continuous improvement of the underwriting administration process

**Education and Experience**
- Educated to A level or equivalent
- CII qualification or willingness to complete
