Wedding and Events Coordinator

There is something magical about being involved in Events and you’ll need to be able to quickly build strong and effective working relationships with internal teams and create a rapport with clients and suppliers.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and professional Wedding and Events Co-ordinator to be part of our Events Team who is passionate in working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.
Understand the importance of event planning and process so strong attention to detail, excellent written and communication skills, able to prioritise complex workload, working calm when under pressure and confident in dealing with difficult situations are key.
You will enjoy being part of a team based at this stunning venue where no day is the same with a whole variety of tasks to keep you busy. Being a small team, you will need to be able to turn your hand to any task required to support team in planning and delivering a high standard service.
Responsibilities;
- Looking after event enquiries allocated to you and act as a main point of contact for the clients, wedding planners and suppliers.
- Liaising with clients to organise; venue visits, guidance and support to deliver their event and build successful relationships with clients and external suppliers/contractors.
- Produce accurate event day sheets for the events team.
- Duty Manager on Event Days includes; ensure smooth running of the event, support for suppliers and client, managing security team, health & safety of venue and guests.
- Maintain health & safety and compliance with all legal & company requirements.
- Liaising with our sales, facilities, security and housekeeping team as well as clients and suppliers pre, during and post event.
- Supporting Head of Events and Assistant Event Manager in any other responsibilities.
- **As we offer Venue Hire only, we do not coordinate the wedding day; we act as a duty manager (the venues point of contact) to oversee the events, internal teams and suppliers.**_
It is inevitable that over time, the emphasis of this job may well change without altering the general character of the role or the level of duties and responsibilities entailed.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:
IT literacy skills with experience of using Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook.
Attention to detail
Organisational and time management
Ability to work independently and unsupervised, using own initiative.
Minimum 1 year experience within the wedding & events industry.
**DESIRABLE SKILLS**:
Wedding & Events Experiece (2 years)
First Aid qualification
IOSH/Health & Safety qualification/knowledge
Knowledge of licencing laws.
**Shift Schedule**:
- Event days; Mix of morning/day/evening shifts Monday to Sunday (earliest start is 6.00am and latest finish is 1.00am).
- Non-event days; Office hours 9.00am to 6.00pm
- Will be required to work on bank holidays on event days
- 28 days annual leave (includes bank holidays)
- 45 hours per week based on 9 hours shifts (5 out of 7 days)
- Work Location - North Mymms Park, **must drive** on-site parking available.
**Salary negotiable depending on experience.**
Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
