Healthy Lifestyles Deputy Coordinator

The main purpose of the role is to plan and deliver healthy eating educational and exercise sessions under the guidance of the Programme Coordinator. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of educational weight management sessions with the aim of improving patient’s overall health and wellbeing by reducing their BMI and any associated co-morbidities. Also, you will be expected to teach about the benefits of eating a healthy balanced diet and engaging in regular physical activity.
- To facilitate and lead healthy lifestyle sessions for patients whilst embedding basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Where necessary plan and deliver under the guidance of the Band 5 Coordinator.
- Carry out all aspects of administrative requirements of the patients and the department.
- To support patients/learners in the classroom and gym by implementing the learning plan and care plan.
- Maintain appropriate records.
- Participate in the escorting of patients in accordance with policies and procedures.

Delivering educational sessions is an important aspect of the role. Applicants should have at least a Level 3 teaching qualification with the intention of completing a level 4 qualification once in post.
