We require an Intermodal Train Facilitator working within our friendly team to undertake shift based commercial and operational service delivery activities in a professional and timely manner to ensure the smooth running of Intermodal train services at our office located in the Port of Felixstowe.

You will have experience of working in an office, enjoy working with customers and data with good attention to detail. You will be flexible to work daytime and evening shifts which may include some lone working.

The working hours are 36 hours per week, the duration of the shifts are between 10 -12 hours maximum. The working hours fall within Monday 6am to Saturday 6pm. However we are currently reviewing the shift patterns and therefore the hours may change slightly. The starting salary will be £21,000, rising to £24,000 following training, plus a range of attractive benefits.

Main Responsibilities
- Produce TOPS train lists using the TOPS 2000 system for Intermodal train services to / from Felixstowe.
- Check the commercial train lists for compliance to loading standards and integrity of container numbers booked for both import and export services.
- Interrogate the Port of Felixstowe Scorpio container system to finalise train lists for the Operations and Commercial Staff.
- Manage the delivery of export and DGN documentation as directed.
- Ensure MSC and inland terminals are provided with train loading lists as directed.
- Input export train lists into FDRC Scorpio system and advise Commercial team of any anomalies.
- Maintain and distribute daily train log.
- Through TOPs monitor and provide real time train running information and highlight any issues of poor performance.
- Working in FARGO TOPS and utilising the correct wagon loading diagrams produce and manage box to wagon loading lists for distribution to inland terminals and the Port of Felixstowe

Essential skills
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- High attention to detail

Desired skills:

- Knowledge of the Freight industry
- GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics
- Experience gained within a customer service environment
