Applications are invited for a locum fixed term Consultant General Paediatrician at University Hospitals Birmingham.These are fixed term posts that will have substantive post holders. We are requesting fixed term appointments to cover the recruitment period.The appointees will join the existing body of Consultant paediatricians. Applicants should be able to provide clinical support and leadership in General paediatrics.

Working in Paediatric Speciality at University Hospitals of Birmingham provides excellent environment to practice your acquired knowledge and skills to deliver high quality clinical care for children of all ages.The appointees will be required to work across all sites (Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals) although the main duties including out of hours on calls will be at Good Hope Hospital. The acute Paediatric care is provided at Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital with outpatient care at all 3 sites.

The appointees will be expected to provide teaching and training to medical students and junior doctors. The trust actively supports quality improvement work and has an active research department.
