Steep Street Coffee House is a bookshop café on the Old High Street in Folkestone. We serve light lunches, coffee and cake all day and are generally bustling, though especially busy at lunchtime and weekends. We are looking for a hard working and friendly new person to join our kitchen team in a part time Kitchen Assistant role.

**This role is a minimum of 16 hours per week. The core shifts are 10.20 to 18.40 Monday and Tuesday and 10.20 to 17.20 Wednesday **but you will sometimes be asked to cover other shifts. This means a certain amount of flexibility is required, especially during holidays and busy periods.

Duties will include:

- Pot washing using a commercial dishwasher, keeping pace with front of house
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen at all times
- Adhering to food hygiene policies and completing daily cleaning tasks as scheduled
- Assisting front of house when needed
- Clearing tables front of house
- Any other ad hoc tasks as directed by manager

Experience is preferred although not essential as it is your attitude and commitment towards the job which we are primarily looking for.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £9.00-£10.60 per hour
