**Job description**:
Do you have an aptitude for Facilities Management? Could you be our new Facilities Officer (FO)? We have an opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual in a key customer facing role. This is within the South East Region of our Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) based in the Bicester area which requires an ability to deal with sensitive matters and handle the expectations of customers.

The job is high profile, exciting, varied and provides an opportunity to improve relationship leadership skills whilst working collaboratively with DIO colleagues, Industry Partners (IPs), customers and other Stakeholders

The FO will work collaboratively, delivering successful outcomes as part of a team across three service delivery areas. This role plays a significant part in the delivery of services to our customers on a day-to-day and strategic basis focusing on optimising the use of and management of all property, buildings, and workplaces. It will oversee, deliver, or support all aspects of day-to-day hard & soft facilities management services, including contract and supplier management, planning and delivery of an extensive maintenance/minor works programme. The postholder will be the key customer interface across their area while supporting the provision of service

The FO will help to ensure that their team adhere to and conform with all agreed processes and operating procedures.

**Person specification**:

- Main responsibilities will include:
- supporting the team; working with them to assure compliance relating to policy, instructions and guidance.
- Recording and managing risks and issues up the Governance chain regularly collaborating closely with assurance, DIO/IP teams.
- Strive to build strong collaborative, professional working relationships both within the team, and other teams across DIO & the wider MOD, to provide the continued level of support needed across a diverse estate in support of Defence.
- Supporting and participating in a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collating information and preparing reports in support of reporting and assurance activities.

**Licences**:

- Full UK driving licence is required as visits to multiple sites across the Region are part of the role sometimes at short notice.**Behaviours**:

**Employment Hours**

The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers flexible working to enable a better work-life balance for employees.
