We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Flooring Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in the flooring industry.

As a Trainee Flooring Estimator, you will learn to accurately estimate the costs and materials required for various flooring projects. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop the skills necessary to evaluate project specifications, create detailed cost estimates, and assist in project planning and execution.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in measuring and assessing project sites to determine the scope of work.
- Learn to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Help in calculating quantities and costs of materials and labour.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely estimates.
- Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to ensure estimates align with client requirements and budgets.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in flooring estimation.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and other relevant documents.

**Qualifications**:

- GCSEs or equivalent; additional education or coursework in construction, mathematics, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications (training will be provided).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Valid clean driving licence and reliable transportation.

Pay: £8.60-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
