Dog Groomer

Kent Dog Walker are hiring a new dog groomer to join our hard-working team in Snodland. We are looking for someone who is friendly, passionate about grooming and has excellent customer service skills with the ability to work both alone and with others in a team.

We would be looking for someone that is available to work evenings (minimum 3) and weekends (two Saturdays per month), on a self-employed basis. You will receive 60% of the overall service price (after tax). Meaning this position would be ideal for a hard-working individual that doesn’t want a cap on how much they can earn. The working hours each day are up for discussion, but we would be looking to work closely with the groomer we take on board to work around their availability and also the company’s demand. We have a full client base ready and waiting for the right individual and a brand-new salon is in the process of being built.

**Duties**:

- Able to complete full grooms to our high standard without supervision in both Breed Standard, Pet styleor customer preferences.
- Bath and dry pets, including proper handling and restraint techniques.
- Trim nails, clean ears, and perform other basic grooming tasks.
- Brush and style fur, as well as perform de-shedding treatments.
- Assess and communicate any health issues or concerns to pet owners.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area.

**Requirements**:

- Has a level 3 qualification in dog grooming or equivalent.
- A hardworking individual that has excellent customer service skills.
- Has an up-to-date portfolio of grooms completed alone on of a range of breeds and in a range of styles.
- Great time management.
- Able to talk to owners confidently before and after grooms.
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming needs.
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Able to work independently as well as with others in a team.
- Confident handling all breeds of dogs in a safe manner.
- Having the highest of expectations in presentation and cleanliness.
- Confident using technology such as smart phones/apps ect due to our online booking system and customer portal.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
