Bookkeeping Trainee

We are Galloways, the fastest growing accountancy firm in Sussex, with multiple offices looking after thousands of businesses and individuals across the county, providing the full array of specialist accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning services.

We are looking for a **Bookkeeping Trainee** to join our **Bookkeeping **team, based in **Hove **on a **permanent** basis.

This role is **full time**, with a salary of **£18,000 per annum**.

**About the role**

Bookkeeping Trainees support in providing a bookkeeping service to clients ensuring that records are accurately and methodically maintained in order to facilitate the preparation of VAT returns, management reports and annual financial statements.
- Completion of the AAT Level 2 qualification
- Supporting colleagues in the Bookkeeping Team whilst learning on the job
- Delivering excellent customer service to clients, progressing to maintain your own client list
- Ensuring client work is delivered within set deadlines
- Processing large amounts of data in line with regulations and best practice

**About you**
- GCSE Maths at Grade 6/B or above
- Confident with using new technology and software
- Experience working in a team setting, at work, school or in your personal life
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to commit to completing AAT Level 2
