**Key responsibilities**

**HR Admin and Recruitment**
- To manage the new starter process from start to finish within the region:

- Ensuring all relevant new starter paperwork is received
- Setting up employee personnel files in all required areas and adding details to all systems
- Completion of all relevant pre-employment checks such as DBS checks, references and eligibility to work in the UK documents
- Liaising with Payroll, IT and Training Departments by providing them with all relevant new starter details
- Escalating any relevant issues to the HR Advisor or HR Manager to deal with
- Create and send offer letters and contracts for new employees through the online system, ensuring these are sent prior to their agreed start date
- To complete any required follow up checks for right to work in the UK for current employees. This involves checking on a monthly basis for any right to work identification that is due to expire and contacting the relevant employee to ensure they provided their new right to work documents to ensure they can continue their employment with the organisation
- Support with the absence management administration by ensuring managers are recording sickness on the system when sick notes have been provided, monitoring of sick note expiry dates and contacting managers/employees to find out if further sick notes have been provided, and any other absence admin related tasks as and when required
- To deal with the administration for any employees who are driving company vehicles by ensuring managers have completed and provided relevant documentation and that this is stored on the system
- To cover other HR admin tasks in the absence of HR Administrators
- Ensure employee data is accurate and kept up to date within personnel files and on all other systems/areas information is stored
- Provide support to Managers/HR Advisors with audio typing of Investigations, Disciplinary & Grievance Hearings, Absence Reviews, Welfares and any other HR related meetings and other HR admin duties
- Answering and directing telephone calls to relevant people within the office.
- To support in any other HR and Recruitment admin related tasks as required by the needs of the business and requested by line manager
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- To carry out other reasonable duties as delegated by the HR Manager, HR Advisor, and the Senior Management Team

**Teamwork**
- Participate in promoting a team approach at all times.
- Be polite, courteous and supportive to all team members.
- Be flexible in accordance with the needs of the weekly rota.
- Be available to cover leave (sickness, annual, etc).
- Assist in the induction of new staff.
- Work in accordance with training and agreed policies, practices and procedures.
- Participate in and contribute to staff meetings.
- Support colleagues in difficult or potentially difficult situations within the workplace.
- Ensure issues of concern are elevated to a more knowledgeable member of staff if the situation requires specific expertise.

**Personal Development**
- Attend supervision and appraisal meetings and have a willingness to be accountable and develop as a valued team member.
- To undertake training as required. This may include attending training courses outside your place of work.

**General**
- Work to agreed standards in line with Autism Plus policies and procedures.
- Have a flexible attitude to working arrangements.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested, relative to the objectives of the post.
