**Essentra Components, a division of Essentra, Plc, is a global market leader in plastic injection moulded and vinyl dip moulded components.**
The Head of Procurement Centre of Excellence will provide global strategic and operational leadership and direction providing a strategic roadmap to develop, implement, improve and sustain effective procurement processes, procedures, data and technology and standards that meet current and future business needs and drive consistency globally, whilst improving business performance.
- The role is critical to ensuring successful delivery of Procurement as it creates and executes strategies that drive business change, defines the standards and processes through which procurement activity is executed globally and delivers enabling capabilities and support services to ensure effective and efficient execution of the procurement lifecycle
- Support the transformation of the procurement function to underpin strong Operating Profit growth during a period of rapid scale-up, whilst strengthening risk management and governance in the supplier base
- Accountable for the creation of the procurement CofE covering all aspects of best practice procurement, supplier development and P2R.
- The role has global accountability for the procurement technology roadmap, technology platforms and associated data strategies and will support and ensure successful delivery of a new ERP solution
The role provides leadership and expertise to the development, management and operation of an effective end to end procurement lifecycle that achieves the required levels of visibility, control and efficiency over all 3rd party spend, in line with internal policy and procedures and external best practice.
**Job Requirements**
- Building a recognised Procurement CoE to help transform Procurement, and support broader transformation of the wider business
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving best-practice processes including Category Management, Sourcing, Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Development and Purchase to Pay
- Establish and manage a programme and performance management framework including metrics, benchmarks/targets, management reporting and reviews to drive and demonstrate effective delivery of procurement globally
- Selection and management of procurement tools and systems, including the successful implementation and optimal use of the business’ ERP system
- Benchmarking and development of best practice processes underpinned with clear KPIs and implementation of scorecards to be used for continuous improvement
- Supports development and monitoring of global Procurement strategy, policy and controls to meet business requirements and ensure compliance
- Own, develop and manage the Data, Technology and Governance strategy development and implementation, to underpin processes, and support the company’s business model, strategies, and financial operating plans
- Conducts ongoing best practice research and benchmarking to identify and recommend improvements to procurement lifecycle and supplier development practices and capabilities
- Initiate and drive a strategic roadmap for implementation of continuous improvement and change projects across the Procurement function aligned to Procurement strategy and business needs
- Monitors process effectiveness and efficiency using KPIs and external benchmarking.
- Lead the management of relevant third party suppliers for the provision of procurement data or technology platforms (ESG, S2C, P2R)
- Create business / investment cases for technology improvements which include clear resourcing requirements, benefits, risks, dependencies and overall timeframes
- Identify, design and deliver areas of automation across the end to end procurement lifecycle and drive delivery aligned to wider procurement and supplier development processes
- Works with the business to identify areas for improvement, driving a culture of continuous improvement across Procurement globally
