**About the role**
- Full training will be given on all aspects of the role.

- Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:00, 47.5hrs per week.
- £11 per hour following successful completion on probation period.

**What will I be doing?**
- To direct and control vehicles to designated disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
- Operate forklift trucks to move material and load / unload vehicles.
- To carry out inspections on incoming products in line with the site waste acceptance criteria and report any non-compliant loads.
- To safely and efficiently operate fixed machinery, such as bailing machines and sorting lines.
- Complete daily checks of all plant and equipment used at the facility.
- Assisting sampling operatives with collection of output samples.
- To ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times and to comply fully with all company procedures.
- Complete end of shift plant clean-downs and ensure site compliance is maintained.
- To contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
- To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation, ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

The role will involve:

- To safely and efficiently operate fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
- Maintaining the completion of preoperational safety and operator checks.
- Frequently complete daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant, fixed plant and equipment used at the facility.
- Ensuring that all deliveries of waste are in compliance with the site licence and any associated paperwork is completed.
- To carry out inspections on incoming product(s) in line with the site waste acceptance criteria and report any non-compliant loads.
- To direct customers vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
- Ensuring the compliance with all material export requirements such as photo’s, paperwork and container seals.
- Assisting sampling operatives with collection of output samples.
- Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times and to comply fully with all company and local procedures.
- Assisting production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
- To contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
- To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation, ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
- Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.

**What are the requirements?**

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
You will require:

- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
- Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
