The **Senator **Group is one of the UK’s largest design led manufacturers of contract furniture with manufacturing sites across East Lancashire and the US. Employing 1,200+ staff, we design, manufacture and distribute our innovative furniture products to over 70 countries to sectors including; Corporate, Leisure & Hospitality, Education and Healthcare.

We are currently looking to recruit an **Export Packing Operative **to join our logistics team, responsible for ensuring that all finished products ready for Export are packaged and palletised efficiently, securely and safely to ensure that quality and pallet integrity is upheld throughout the delivery process.

**The Role**:

- Organise the packaging of all export products, continually looking at improvements to optimise the packing of finished product for onward shipping in the transport chain.
- Manage materials used for packing, reporting stock levels to the supervisor.
- Continuously think about methods of improving the packaging process, reducing cost and time.
- Ensure that packaging adheres to export compliance and matches required documentation.
- Physically move products to relevant area locations using pallet trucks ready for despatch.
- Work together with colleagues to keep the work area tidy and organised.
- Working proactively to maintain the safety and security of the work area.
**The Person**:

- Previous experience working within a fast paced packing or export role.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good understanding of the export delivery chain process and how packaging can play a vital role.
- Good personal discipline, a flexible approach to work and enjoy change.
- Able to work in a busy, pressured environment.
- Able to work as part of a team but to also work on own initiative.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work to standards.
- An eye for detail and ability to learn new ways of working quickly.
- Able to work to within tight deadlines and with minimum supervision.
**Working hours 8.30**am
- 5.00pm** **/Monday to Friday**
