**Course Information**
Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner (Community) apprenticeship standard. This level 4 apprenticeship training programme develops the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to work with children, young people, and families across a range of multi-agency services to achieve positive outcomes and sustainable solutions in their daily lives. At the end of this training programme, you will be awarded a level 4 certificate in higher education in working with children, young people, and families, which De Montfort University Leicester endorses.
**About Us**
At Clifford House Fostering we are currently seeking a motivated and organised Apprentice Participation Officer to support our Fostering Team. The focus of the role with support, is to develop through a range of activities and projects, improved participation of looked-after children and young people, their foster parents, and birth children with the Agency. With the overall aim of improving services offered and outcomes for children, and by making available life-enhancing opportunities for looked-after children and young people.
Initially reporting to the Registered Manager the post is full-time with time to be agreed to complete the apprenticeship either at a local college or onsite depending on availability at the point of commencing the Apprenticeship.
**Role and Responsibilities with support will include,**
- Arranging activities and workshops for our ‘Looked After’ and birth children
- Planning family events and days out
- Forge close and productive working relationships with colleagues, Foster Parents, external professionals, and multi-agency networks
- Attendance at meetings with Professionals from Education, Health, and Social Services sectors to support our Children and Young People’s care plans
- Assessment, review, and report writing, and maintaining clear records
- Be aware of, and take responsibility for staying up to date with professional practice standards, legislation, and company policy including confidentiality, GDPR, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Provide support and guidance to our families and help promote the stability of foster placements
**Requirements**:
- Educated to GCSE level with grades A-C/4 in Mathematics and English. This can be completed alongside your qualification if not already obtained
- To support in the planning, organisation, and prioritisation of workloads to meet deadlines and service requirements
- Able to remain calm when under high levels of pressure, emotionally traumatic situations, and when dealing with difficult or confrontational behaviour
- An understanding of the use of IT including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and databases
- Have a full driving licence
- To be able to contribute to team working and to develop good working relationships Ability to manage workload
- The ability to demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy to Clifford House Fostering at all times
