Westwood recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced laser cutting operator to join fabrication / engineering client based in Macclesfield.

Skills required / Basic requirements included in role
- Flatbed sheet metal laser cutting
- Confident with computers & file management
- Demonstrate good knowledge of general workshop housekeeping & Health & Safety
- Good timekeeping.
- Identify, organise & store sheet material that are to be cut.
- Load & unload materials to the laser machine using a FLT & Jib Crane and hoist.
- Select programmes/ parameters & upload to the laser machine
- Cutting parts from pre-programmed nests
- Adjusting parameters to ensure good & efficient cut quality
- Unloading & identifying cut parts using reports & labels.
- Ensuring the laser area is always kept tidy
- Liaising with Production Manager daily to ensure correct parts have been cut.
- Undertaking weekly maintenance of the laser machine.

Training will be given so that the role can be completed in a safe and efficient manner, this may be a mixture of external & in house training.

**The role has the potential to develop in to programming via SigmaNEST to nest parts and run the laser department**

Normal working hours are 8am-4pm Monday - Friday.

25 days holiday per year plus eight bank holidays.

Rate of pay £14.75ph
