You’ll be fully supported to study towards a formal ICAEW accountancy qualification via an apprenticeship and start your journey towards a fulfilling and rewarding accountancy career. **Graduate trainee accountant key responsibilities**:
The audit team audits accounts for a variety of companies, charities, solicitors and other entities. You will learn the principles of audit and work as part of a wider team, ensuring appropriate and sufficient documentation is obtained to support the audit opinion.

The accounts team prepare accounts for a variety of external clients from organisations across the UK. You will learn the fundamentals of bookkeeping, accounts preparation, audit, VAT returns, budgeting and financial performance, personal and corporate tax and building relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities of the role will also include working with the audit team to audit accounts, undertaking high-quality accounts preparation services for a range of business clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT returns.

**What we are looking for**

We are looking for dynamic, ambitious individuals with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who are looking for a challenge.

You will be methodical with pace, accuracy and understand the importance of excellent client service.

You will have confidence with numbers, great attention to detail and the ability to confidently talk to people to build client relationships.

Highly personable with a flexible approach and excellent verbal and written communication is also crucial.

Accountancy can be technically demanding with new concepts and regulatory changes to grasp. You should be adaptable, able to learn quickly and be at ease with grasping new concepts.

**Qualifications**

In addition, you will have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate excel skills as a minimum.
