**Job Title**:Communications Intern**

**Reporting to**:Head of Communications and External Affairs

**Job Role**

Our communications internship is an amazing opportunity for a creative, entrepreneurial thinker and self-starter to grow in a pioneering for-purpose organisation. Working in a global environment, you will be a key member a fast moving team driving Reall’s social media platforms, writing copy and editorial content, and supporting team members in events, digital, storytelling and the smooth running of the communications function.

**Responsibilities**

Supporting the Communications and External Affairs team you will support, learn, and bring your own ideas and skills to a large variety of communications activities including:

- Growing Reall’s strategic social media presence and listening
- Supporting the team on brand copywriting and editing, ensuring all our externally facing material is in Reall’s tone of voice
- Creating and editing content
- Contributing ideas for social media campaigns
- Uploading content to the Reall website using WordPress and monitoring its performance
- Performing quarterly metric reports
- Project managing the Reall communications calendar, ensuring it aligns and amplifies our events, publications and external opportunities
- Helping in the smooth running of the communications function, supporting team members with meetings, minutes, creating purchase orders, updating budgets and other ad hoc admin duties

**Changes to Responsibilities**

The Chief Executive reserves the right to change the key activities from time-to-time to meet the organisation’s strategic objectives in accordance with the job role.

- Comply with the policies and procedures as set out in Reall’s Staff Handbook and all relevant procedures and processes.
- Adhere to all relevant Data Protection legislation.
- At all times to work in a manner that ensures the health and safety of the post-holder, other staff, colleagues, and visitors to Reall’s premises.

**Other requirements**

The post is based in central Coventry and operates on a hybrid model with three days in the office for the first two weeks of the months and the option of remote working for the rest of that time.

**Person Specification**

**Education**:Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field or comparable related experience

**Experience**: Demonstrable experience of using social channels, creating content, excellent copywriting, and strong organisation skills.

- Experience using Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to edit basic video content

**Package**

**Salary**:
£19,760 per annum. 12 month fixed term contract

**Hours**:
Normal office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Hybrid working 3 days per week working in the office for the first two weeks of the month, then the option to work remotely.

**Annual leave**:
25 days plus Bank Holidays and 1 extra day as birthday leave.

**Probation**:
Three months.

**Notice period**:
One week by either party.
