The advertised post is for a Clinical Technologist within the Medical Physics Department based in University Hospital Wishaw.

The main duties of the post holder will be to perform fault finding, repair, calibration, planned preventative maintenance and safety testing of a wide range of general medical equipment within NHS Lanarkshire. This post will include some driving to Health Centres etc. to perform the above duties. The post holder is required to work to the highest standards, to ensure equipment operates effectively and safely with a minimum of downtime. The department operates a registered Quality Management System to BSI ISO9001:2015 standard, and it is expected that the post holder will participate in duties associated with the quality system. The post holder will be expected to liaise with clinical and technical staff to identify faults and repair equipment, which includes working in clinical areas and with manufacturers of medical equipment.
