Refuse Collector

Elite Energy is a market leading company in the renewable energy sector, specialising in the design and installation of energy efficient measures throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Waste Removal Operative to join our team, based out of the Leeds/Bradford area. As a Waste Removal Operative, you will be responsible for assisting with waste management and disposal operations, alongside courier duties to and from site locations, supplier locations and our Head Office in the North East.

This is a physically demanding role that requires both health and safety knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting. As this role will also involve courier duties, a full valid driving licence is essential for this role and you must be over the age of 25 for insurance purposed. You must also be willing to drive a minimum of 75% of the time, for this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Collect and sort waste materials according to established guidelines
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste storage areas
- Assist with loading and unloading waste containers
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Delivery of materials and equipment from suppliers to sites

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in waste management or a related field is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour on a regular basis
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in waste storage areas
- Ability to work independently is a must as this is a lone role
- Valid driver's license is essential, 25+ years of age for insurance

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm, with flexibility towards travel outside of these times (paid as overtime) and Saturday working on a rota (paid as overtime).

Annual starting salary for this role is £24,000, paid monthly.

A company vehicle will be provided for this role.
