**E-Commerce Optimisation Specialist**
**Southampton (Hybrid - 1-2 day per week on-site)**

**About the role**
A critical member of the E-Commerce team, the Optimisation Specialist is a new role and a great opportunity for someone grounded in B2C E-Commerce within a retail environment who wants to get results. It is central to moving our digital offering forward andinvolves a mix of analysis and testing as well as delivery aspects, such as resource planning and coordination.

This role is key for driving and delivering change, with a focus on exploring and seeking out the ways to do things better. You will bring your knowledge and experience of change, analysis and optimisation to challenge/propose new ways of working and improvementsto site, service & internal process efficiency in turn driving sales revenue and profitability.

**Areas of responsibility**:

- Looking after onsite long-term site performance
- Identifies & validates through insights and research, opportunities to improve performance.
- Through AB/MVT, designs and embeds a test and learn programme
- Develops and maintains knowledge of our customers/site users, their behaviours & the broader competitor landscape
- Acting as an internal voice of the customer and the customers experience by conducting deep dives to better understand shopping behaviours and probable causes of change
- Undertakes analysis to understand onsite conversion & produces (or assists owners in producing) revenue forecasts for initiatives (to assist with prioritising change initiatives)
- Plays a key role in the planning and review of the E-Commerce roadmap and managing & coordinating the delivery, timelines, budgets and outcomes of the roadmap
- Work with design to ensure the delivery of an intuitive user journey and experiences

**What we're looking for**:

- Strong B2C Retail Ecommerce experience
- Strong data mining and interpretation skills with proven performance optimisation knowledge
- Demonstrable good understanding and experience of key E-Com drivers AB/MVT, SEO, UX, GDPR
- Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and digital insights
- Experience in AB/MVT testing methodologies and platforms e.g. Google Optimise
- Demonstrable experience of taking ownership of programs/projects, activity coordination and implementation
- Demonstrable experience of delivering to commercial important metrics
- A customer & quality first attitude, with determination, realism & will to make a difference

**Nice to haves**:

- Experience with SEO tools (Moz, Ahrefs, ScreamingFrog, etc)
- Experience using Power BI
- Experience working in a medium to large matrix organisation.
- Experienced with different user research methodologies, with the ability to inform design decisions through research and experiments
