We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Team Member to join us at one of the country’s leading universities. You will work within one of our catering outlets at the University of York, helping to maintain the high standards of catering, hygiene, and health & safety that we currently achieve.

You will prepare and cook light snacks and plated meals in accordance with menu guidelines. You should have an interest in the hospitality sector and food preparation, full training will be provided.

**The salary is £23,151.49 per annum (£12.00 per hour).**

**The hours of work are 37 hours per week on a 5 days over 7 basis. **You won’t be required to work split shifts. Shifts will usually fall within a Monday to Friday structure although occasional weekend work may be required. Flexibility is essential to ensure the kitchens can meet the demands of the business.

**Requirements**:

- An interest in the hospitality sector and food preparation. Full training will be provided.
- The ability to work as part of a team and without close supervision.
- Good food preparation and presentation skills.
