Cawingredients supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market. We operate from a state of the art production and warehousing facility based on one site in North Yorkshire.

We are seeking to recruit two in-house shunt driver to support internal stock movement.

Contract options (both are permanent positions)

Option 1 Shift Based: 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts Monday - Friday covering a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6-2/-2-10/10-6, plus 1 Saturday morning 6-2 every 6th week.

Option 2 Weekend working: 36 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weekly rotation of 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am.

You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles, with a Counterbalance licenses also being essential. You will also need to have worked within fast paced/ warehousing/distribution environment previously.

As an experienced HGV Shunter Driver you will be required to have a minimum of 2 years recent experience with a Class 1 licence and have no more than 6 points on your license.

The role will involve operating a shunt unit only for internal stock movement to a high standard.

Typical example of duties and Responsibilities:

- Undertaking of full condition and inspection of vehicle in accordance with correct procedures and certified practices.
- Maintenance of correct fuel levels and refuelling of vehicles, logging and reporting of diesel usage, monitoring and recording of diesel tank fuel levels to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Safe and efficient handling of the vehicle in all respects, including the optimisation of fuel usage and cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Presenting the vehicle for loading when required, in a compliant and roadworthy condition.
- Planning and communicating movement/transportation of stock to ensure zero Production downtime.
- Ensuring load security and stability, adequately restraining loads in line with correct procedures and certified practices.
- Ensuring the security of the vehicle and load at all times.
- Moving trailers in a loaded and unloaded state between the manufacturing plant and the warehouse.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trailers with finished goods using a pallet truck.
- Perform within set performance targets.
- With appropriate training, assist with warehouse duties as required to include Fork Lift Truck work, pallet truck work and other relevant tasks to assist with the operation of the distribution and shipping functions of the Department, when shunting is not required.
- Accurately complete all paperwork.
- Any other reasonable task as requested by management.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£33,296.48 per year
