We are looking for a qualified journalist who has at least 3 years industry experience with a passion for wellness and storytelling. The role would be suited for someone with a bilingual background in either mandarin or Japanese who has either worked in Asia or the UK media industry who understands the Asian wellness market.

The ANKHA Features editor will have with a nose for a good news story, understand media law and can balance multiple projects at a time. As we at the start of our content building journey, we are looking for a hard working self-starter who is happy to represent the brand in the UK and overseas who knows how to edit, record and conduct interviews as well as managing and nurturing freelance writers.

The role will be based in the UK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work solo on projects whilst managing a team of freelance writers across all platforms including video producers, designers, sales and marketing and business development
- Drive the daily pitch process, from fielding and curating ideas to brainstorming innovative ways to present content
- Collaborate with freelance producers on podcasts, video and live events whilst identifying follow-ups and other features opportunities
- Analyze site metrics and target high-performing topics
- Come up with creative solutions to tailor content to advertisers
- Think short-term for daily pieces of content and long-term for brand specials
- We value out-of-box thinkers who can balance taking risks whilst maintaining our core brand integrity
- Coming up with great ideas for engaging features that AM readers will enjoy
- Writing practical/tutorial articles for both web and print on all aspects and genres of photography
- Conducting interviews with industry experts on and off camera
- Editing audio and video packages and understanding what works well for the company website and social channels
- Help expand the global reach of the brand to markets in Asia by creating content which will cater to this readership
- Speaking at events overseas representing the brand as an ambassador living breathing and teaching about wellness benefits

**Qualifications & experience**:

- A Masters degree in any media discipline
- A passion for wellness
- Evidence of working with a team of reporters and editors to collaborate on story ideas and projects
- Evidence of delivering complex content in a succinct way
- Strong English writing skills is a must
- Chinese language skills is a plus
- Experience covering wellness topics is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,651.00-£30,467.00 per year
