We are recruiting for a **Project Leader** to join our team and continue a career in project management. You’ll be responsible for managing existing and new Continuous Improvement projects, essential in driving the business forwards.

Whilst we are a manufacturing site and most projects focus on process improvement, the role has remit for a wider scope including all aspects of improvements from Customer Service through to Logistics.

You will lead projects, create and develop project teams, allocate tasks and responsibilities, be able to task team members with deadlines and delegate successfully. Occasionally you will also form part of wider project teams as part of a Group initiative, and work across multiple sites.

You should be effective at planning and monitoring your work and be able to work well under pressure. The position is a great opportunity for someone keen to continue a career in Project Management through the development of their present skills whilst learning new ones.

**The Role**:

- Provide day-to-day project support to our manufacturing site as part of the existing Continuous Improvement Team.
- Maintain relevant project data in suitable systems allowing for progress to be assessed.
- Drive the business forwards with various project initiatives which impact KPIs in quality, performance, sustainability, people and health & safety.
- Create and lead project teams, as well as being part of wider project teams.
- Assisting the Management Team with data collection, analysis and reporting in order to make solid business decisions.
- Work with the CI Manager to identify solutions to various business problems or improvement opportunities.
- Identify and reduce waste in all forms.
- Reduce process variation through standardisation.
- Co-ordinate site audits & facilitate follow up meetings and communications.
- Extracting and analysing data to produce weekly and monthly reports in various formats to the management team.
- Liaising with the accounts department to provide site performance figures.
- Maintaining and developing site personnel training files.
- Presenting company communications at a site level through tool box talks and team briefs.

**The Person**:

- Ability to multitask, working on a number of projects simultaneously and to agreed deadlines
- Fast learner, able to adapt to change quickly
- Close attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including experience of communicating effectively across cultures and with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently with mínimal support, as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to understand and support the needs of diverse projects across an organisation.
- Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Demonstrable experience working on improvement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficient user of MS Office
- Educated to Degree Standard

**Working Hours**: 7.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday / 7.00am - 12.45pm Friday.
