Leading manufacturer of Flavour and Fragrance chemicals seeks an experienced Production Chemist.

**About the role**:
Our client is looking to add another Production Chemist to their growing team. The duties of the Production Chemist revolve around the small-scale manufacture (5L-25L) of F&F chemicals using a wide variety of classical chemical synthesis techniques. Distillationis used as the main method of post-synthesis purification. You will work in one of the two Production laboratories and be involved in routine manufacture and the introduction of new processes.

**Salary**:
Starting at £21,500 per annum whilst training (2-3 months), moving to £25,200 when starting shifts.

**Hours of work**:
37.5 per week Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00, Fridays 08:30 -15:45 initially whilst training. After training, moved onto a 2-shift system 06:00-14:00 Monday to Friday and 13:45-22:00 Monday -Thursday and 13:45-20:45 Friday.

**Skills and experience**:

- A degree in chemistry
- Enthusiasm and a desire to learn
- Good team player
- Experience of small-scale chemistry at University or College
- Some knowledge of safe working practices i.e. COSHH
- Some knowledge of analytical methods such as GLC
- Previous experience of working within a chemical manufacturing organisation
