Applications are invited for an Ilizarov Limb Reconstruction and Bone Infection fellow based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Hull, UK for the duration of 6 months with potential to increase it for 12 months. The intended start date is April 2023.This is a senior post and would best suit senior trainees at pre-consultant, post CCT level.Applicants must hold full GMC registration. Applicants should also possess the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, have good interpersonal skills, and have a caring attitude towards patients and evidence of good clinical practice. Previous experience in circular frame / limb reconstruction would be helpful.

This fellowship is open for UK and International trainees. The fellow will gain experience in the management of complex trauma, bone infections, non-unions and deformity planning and correction. The fellowship will provide a comprehensive and holistic approach towards limb reconstruction, including the primary and secondary care management of limb reconstruction patients. The post holder will attend the bone infection MDT and combined bone infection clinics. The multi professional bone infection clinic and MDT is jointly attended by Orthopaedic, plastics and infectious diseases consultants.
