Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will play a vital role in helping clients build positive relationships with their dogs by providing expert training and behavioural guidance. You will work closely with dogs of all breeds and ages, utilising positive reinforcement techniques to address behavioural issues and improve dog to owner relationships.

Person Overview: Extremely dedicated, you are able to take direction & criticism, have a good memory and want to push yourself to be the best even under times of high pressure. Self-motivated you can manage your own training sessions alongside supporting and working with other trainers and members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out: Puppy training, Companion courses and Desensitising courses taking advice from senior trainers and _The Dog House_ founder
- Conduct one-on-one training sessions with clients and their dogs, focusing on obedience, socialisation, and behaviour modification.
- Develop personalised training plans tailored to each dog's unique needs and temperament.
- Utilise positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce desired behaviours and discourage unwanted behaviours.
- Maintain detailed records of training sessions and progression.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in dog training techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Dog Trainer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of canine behaviour, learning theory, and positive reinforcement training methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach and motivate both dogs and humans.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for dogs.
- Certification from a reputable dog training program or association.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate schedules.

Pay: £23,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
