Personal Tutor

We have an exciting opening for Personal Tutors to a support our students, providing pastoral and personal growth support and guidance via termly individual tutorials with each student, assessing personal-awareness-based set work, and being flexibly available as required for additional tutorials. The Personal Tutor is also a core member of the wider Training Team and contributes to Training Team meetings and Year Team meetings for all students across the training.The students are part of the groups of trainees on our BACP accredited courses. The service consists of 27 part-time staff and 30+ students who have their placements and supervision within our own clinical service.

We offer a highly regarded 1 year Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling Theory and Skills and a 2 year, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited, Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. Students join the training either at the start of Year 1 or directly into Year 2 each September and are assessed annually for their suitability to continue in training. The diploma is attractive to aspiring counsellors who like this all-inclusive integration of learning and practice, and who prefer a clinical setting to a more strictly academic one.

You will need a relevant professional counselling or psychotherapy qualification and a proven record of experience in clinical counselling/psychotherapy practice in organisational/service-based contexts.

Role can be undertaken as an employee of CCS or as a self employed freelancer.
