Fairfax Meadow is the UK’s favourite foodservice catering butcher and has been putting great meat on the menu for almost 50 years. Our unrivalled heritage, scale and expertise allow us to provide great quality meat and excellent service, consistently.

**About the role;**

To maintain an accurate warehouse stock on the Stock Management system. This role involves participating in and leading a small to deliver daily counts and replenish stock in our warehouse. The role will ensure stock rotation and adherence to dispatching life requirements and ensure smooth and accurate inter site transfers are conducted so stock is available in the right place at the right time, ready for the picking teams. The role holder will lead the team’s commitment to food safety, legality, quality, and integrity.

**What we are looking for;**
- Good attention to detail. You will naturally work in a structured and tidy approach to deliver accurate and consistent stock counts.
- The ability to lift and carry as this role involves a lot of manual handling.
- The ability to count and be able to read and speak English for counting and stocking the products, checking numbers and scanning the stock process.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene is advantageous; however, full training will be given.
- IT literate, able to understand and follow system procedures
- Ideally previous Food manufacturing / warehouse experience.
- Ability and willingness to work in a wet/cold working environment which includes fridges and industrial freezers.
- Ability to lead others

**What the role involves;**
- To ensure that all products are counted and stocked, correctly by batch and with accuracy on the count.
- To investigate any arising stock discrepancy arising on the system following the stock take process.
- To ensure that all out of date and not up to specification products taken off the stock.
- Tidy as you go approach - ensuring all cleaning procedures are carried out diligently to maintain good hygiene.
- To coordinate, motivate, develop and monitor the Stock Control and Transfer team with the support of the Warehouse Manager (s).
- To inform the Warehouse Manager of any defects in products, labelling etc.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties allocated by the Warehouse Manager or other senior company employee.
- Assisting in other areas of production and warehouse operations as required to meet the needs of the business.
