IT Infrastructure Engineer role, based in Chatham. Competitive Salary ranging £42-58K DOE. With Hybrid working

Chatham based company who's growing their headcount over the next year, bring a higher demand on their systems and servers. The role will be based out of their main office in Chatham and also will include remote working.
**Your new role**
- To provide administration and support services for existing VMware services for in house and hosted environments
- Recommend, plan and design changes to the VMware virtualisation infrastructure to address the requirements of the business
- To ensure optimum performance and availability of on premise VMware ESXi servers through monitoring and pro-active maintenance and housekeeping
- To provide VMware, Citrix and additional technology monitoring, including regular information reports, analysing performance and capacity profiles
- Performing investigations and taking ownership of operational problems or development and developing and preparing solutions
- To action production support requests, as required, in a timely and effective manner, in accordance with agreed Change Management and Support procedures, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the Technology Support at all times
- To maintain security and integrity of the production and development environments, in accordance with Office and Security Policies
- To provide rota based, on-call support for VMware and/or recently implemented solutions
- Maintain appropriate technical competence in approved methodologies, technologies and procedures and take ownership of continued professional and personal development
- To undertake out of hours activities and provide out of hours competency support as required by the Office
- Be involved in Infrastructure MIs as a technical specialist and support for account aligned Infrastructure Engineer
- Input into technology support roadmaps, and best practice definitions
- Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.
- Ensure that you understand and comply with the organisation's Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected andmanaged.
- Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 5+ years' experience with VMware and working in a large scale, multi-site virtualised environment.
- 3+ years' experience with MS Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest Scale
- 3+ years' experience with MS Exchange and Exchange online
- In depth knowledge of vCenter Server and ESXi across all vendor supported versions
- Knowledge of Storage Technologies - Nimble, HPE 3Par, DELL PowerStore
- Knowledge of MS Windows Servers and MS Exchange Servers
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
