**EVA Women’s Aid** is recruiting for an enthusiastic and flexible Triage Worker to join our busy Team in Redcar
**Hours**:20 hours per week over four days
**Salary**:Salary - £20,457 (this is the full time equivalent)
**Responsible to**: TBC
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Answer the telephone and respond to callers at EVA’s main office, acting as first point of contact for service users, visitors and for other enquiries
- Take referrals, manage these and ensure information reaches the relevant Team Leaders by distributing in a timely manner
- Attend Staff Team Meetings and other meetings if and when required to do so
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic records
- Contribute to case management
- Engage in regular one-to-one Support and Supervision sessions with Line Manager
- Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to the work of EVA.
**Person Specification**
**Knowledge - You are required to**:
- Have a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse/sexual violence on victims/survivors and their families
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word)
**Experience - You should have experience of ;**
- Working in a busy office
- Working with vulnerable people - having experience of working with women/girls and/or survivors of domestic abuse/sexual violence would be a distinct advantage
- Managing your own workload
**Skills - You are required to have**:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a Team with proven organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills with a confident/professional manner including on the telephone
- A ‘can do’ attitude

- Ensure the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion are maintained at all times

**EVA requires the post holders to be female - Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) Schedule 9, Part 1 (Occupational Requirements) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.**
