You don't need experience in care as a Support Practitioner or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll pay you for your training and we'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too

**The Role**

We're on the lookout for compassionate, fun loving and active individuals who enjoy being out and about and have a great sense of humour to join our 3 teams.

As a **Support Practitioner**, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, support to activities and appointments, managing personal finances, assisting with medication and personal care. You'll take an active interest in their hobbies and interests which include exploring new locations, going for walks, listening to music and taking part in arts and crafts. With your guidance and care, you'll help the people we support be an active member of their local community. Our team provides 1:1 support to empower individuals to make choices, promote their independence and live a valued life.

All the gents we support live in their own homes but are all very different. One enjoys going ice skating, sensory activities, going out for walks and a tasty bite to eat, so he is keen to find a fellow foodie. He is non-verbal but able to communicate what he needs and uses a wheelchair. The next gentleman we support is very active and loves football, going to the gym, swimming and playing playing pool. The third gent we support uses a wheelchair and Zimmer to get around and is very much into his old movies and listening to music. He is a huge fan of watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer too.

Although you will be primarily working in one house, we will be looking for you to work flexibly across our teams.

**For these roles it is essential you hold a full, manual driving licence as the people we support have their own mobility car and love going out for drives.**

**What we need you to bring;**
- A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
- The ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative
- Great communication skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- A creative drive to improve the life of the individual you support
- Confidence in the use of computers
- A full, clean manual driving licence

**Shift Patterns**

As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual shift patterns will depend on the activities chosen by the people we support. Shift patterns are 8am
- 10pm, 10am - 10pm and 9am - 5pm, 7 days a week and include weekends and bank holidays on a 3 week rolling rota.
