Staff Bank Services successfully provides temporary staffing throughout Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust via a variety of different assignments.
We are looking to register reliable, hardworking individuals with a strong radiotherapy planning background, preferably with Tomotherapy/Radixact planning experience in the Precision planning system, although other experience will be considered.
Radiotherapy Physics provides a comprehensive Physics service to the Addenbrooke’s Oncology Centre ensuring the safe and accurate use of high dose ionising radiation to treat patients with cancer, whilst maintaining a safe environment for other patients, visitors and staff.
The Bank worker will work within the treatment planning (including Tomotherapy and SRS) and brachytherapy areas (as required), as part of a team or independently, providing a highly specialist clinical and technical service.
The Bank worker will be responsible, together with Physicists and other members of the planning group, for preparing treatment plans for patients undergoing radiotherapy. Duties will include the operation of computer systems for treatment plans, and performing calculations relating to patient doses. The Bank worker will be involved in the clinical developments of the department through the introduction of new techniques and the training of others. There may be duties that involve direct contact with the patient.
The Bank worker will be clinically responsible to the Consultant on whose behalf any duties directly related to patient care are discharged.
