Role Overview

Reporting to the Security Engineering and Vendor Manager, the purpose of the Security Vendor Manager role is to be to be responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships of all vendors within the Bupa Security Area and to provide assistance to the Security Engineering team on an ongoing basis. This will include working alongside Bupa procurement and Legal with both new and existing vendors, working with those chosen vendors on new and existing contracts, renewals and terminations, ensuring Bupa develops quality vendor relationships that deliver beyond expectations in addition assistance with security engineering team support activities.

What you’ll do:
Mature existing relationships with all vendors within the Security Operations area.

Ensure service level agreements and obligations are met.

Working with the Security Engineering team members to ensure standards are met, and that day-to-day activities are managed effectively.

Developing and mentoring junior team members.

Ensuring that commitments made by suppliers are honoured, and that any Bupa levels of dissatisfaction are highlighted formally.

Ensuring suppliers provide regular 'future focus' roadmaps when appropriate.

Ensuring invoices are accurate, and any discrepancies are dealt with efficiently.

Providing assistance with new service transition, ensuring Vendor processes receive the required focus required whilst transitioning into BAU and beyond.

Ensuring Information Security policies and procedures are adhered to when onboarding new products, including adhering to security and technical standards.

Providing a liaison point with internal teams to ensure contracts align and underpin internal OLA’s and service engagements.

What you’ll bring:
They will also need to have a solid understanding of people management and motivational techniques, as well as a proven track record of vendor management.
