Regulatory Specialist

**JOB SUMMARY**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Maintains up-to-date awareness and knowledge of the principles set forth in the food regulations for assigned core technologies, ingredient categories and associated regulatory agencies.

Actively cross-trains with others to relieve high volume issues and maintain a balance of workload within the department.

Communicates information to appropriate personnel. Actively listens and shares information and knowledge with others in an effective and a timely manner. Ensures that appropriate information is communicated, received and understood.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively - written and verbal - with a variety of internal and external contacts.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner.

Attention to detail is essential for this position.

Must be able to develop the ability to review, interpret and summarize technical information.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in food science, chemistry or related field or equivalent qualification

Experience of regulatory affairs within the food industry at least 2-3 years

**Language**: English. Other languages required: French, German, Italian, or Spanish

Travel may be required on a non-routine basis.
