Policy Advisor

**Salary**: £29,520 - £32,799 p.a.

**Contract Type**: Permanent/Full Time (Open to Part Time/Job Share)

**Hours**: 37 per week

**Do you have a degree in Politics, Economics, Business Studies or similar? Do you have excellent IT/analytical skills and knowledge of best practice in consultation and engagement?**

**Who?**

We are looking for someone with an interest in Local Government to work in our Policy, Insight and Communications Team which deals with partnership working, public and media relations, performance management and policy development across the broad spectrum of District Council work.

**What will you be doing?**

This post will concentrate on developing, implementing and monitoring customer insight and analysis, bringing data to life that informs the Council’s policies.

**What do you need?**

You will have a broadly relevant degree in Economics, Business Studies, Politics or a similar qualification with an advanced standard of computer literacy and knowledge of best practice in consultation and engagement, appropriate software and analytical techniques.

In addition to a high level of literacy and numeracy you will need to be an excellent and effective communicator, confident acting on your own initiative and as part of a team and be able to stay calm under pressure.
