This is a rare opportunity to join a Bridgend based manufacturer. Supplying a variety of industries this multi-site business has a strong order book and customer base. The successful applicant will come from a design background and will be given the opportunityto work on a variety of different design projects whilst having an emphasis placed on their own development.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Liaising with colleagues, customers and suppliers regarding technical and design issues
- CAD design and development of products - taking into account materials, the economics of production, safety, legal requirements, quality and production requirements
- Creation, development and management of technical drawings and models using a designated CAD package such as Solid Edge
- Liaising with colleagues and providing assistance when generating parts lists and specifications
- Liaising with all departments regarding new products, upgrading products, failures in service and cost reductions

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- 3D CAD Systems (ideally Solid Edge) desirable
- An understanding and appreciation of Quality Systems
- Design engineering background
- Either apprenticeship, HND or Degree in mechanical engineering
