Hours: Flexible, part time leading to full time
**Salary**: £26,500 - 27,500 dependent on experience plus company pension
Holidays: 28 days per year
Qualifications: Sports Therapy Degree, Registration with The Society of Sports Therapists
The Nantwich Clinic
Since 1999, The Nantwich Clinic (a family run business) has transformed the health and wellbeing of people around Nantwich, maintaining the health of patients of all ages, providing podiatry, sports therapy, audiology, GP service and pain relief systems. The Clinic plays a vital role in assessment, diagnosis and treatment, working alongside and assisting the NHS. Up until 2019, the business was primarily podiatry and it's success led to owners Tom and Gill Fox to decide to expand the health services they offer, to serve the wider community with a Health Hub covering all aspects of health and wellbeing in a convenient location.
The all-new Health Hub, situated on Newcastle Road, Stapeley, opened in February 2022 with its spacious on-site parking. The Health Hub encompasses a unique range of medical and health facilities, plus medical professionals specialising in various aspects of health and wellbeing. The Nantwich Clinic, (an award winning accredited practice in Cheshire), have developed the multi-disciplinary team and are looking to recruit a Sports Therapist, to further benefit their patients.
The Role
The Nantwich Clinic are looking for an individual who focuses on the best outcome for their patient using their Sports Therapy expertise and knowledge to be part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a close-knit team caring for patients together. Key duties will include:
- Developing and taking responsibility for a clinical caseload
- Carrying out assessments and reviews, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate treatment
- Using appropriate communication skills and tools to communicate with patients and colleagues
- Monitoring, evaluating, and recording patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required.
- Liaising with agencies including GPs, consultants, hospital staff, PCTs and social services where required.
- Working as part of a team
- Attend MDT meetings
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in line with legal requirements
- Assisting with the training of other health care staff as required
The Person
You will be confident in of all aspects of Sports Therapy and have the drive to continually improve and develop your knowledge and understanding of the role. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, be a team player and have a mature and positive outlook. Good ICT knowledge and skills.
Above all, you must have a natural passion which truly cares about putting your patient’s wellbeing as a priority. You will enjoy taking the time to understand what patients truly need, to help make a real difference to their lives.
The clinic caters for a mix of patients including athletes, semi-pro and professionals as well as the general public.
