**About the Charity**:
St. George’s Crypt is Christian Charity in the city of Leeds providing shelter and support and working with homeless and vulnerable people, and those living with addiction. Our aim is to provide a safe environment with physical, emotional and religious support for those who suffered abuse, living with addiction or who are homeless.

**About Our Employees**:
The twin objectives of St George’s Crypt are to pursue the promotion of Christian evangelism and relieve hardship among disadvantaged people. Therefore, it is key for the employees of the Crypt to be pursuing this throughout the whole of their job role and in their personal life. This will usually be evidenced by current involvement in the life of a Christian community. As an expression of their faith and commitment, it is hoped that all our employees are willing to be involved in the activities organised as fundraising and support events within churches and organisations that support our work.

**Safeguarding Responsibilities**:

- Enforcing the company’s safeguarding policy.
- Being alert to and recognising welfare issues, being sure to challenge poor practice.
- Sharing appropriate information with relevant people.
- Continually working with the families of residents and service users, sharing information and contributing to plans if a concern is investigated.
- Ensuring that all staff having contact with children, vulnerable adults and/or their families have received appropriate training on safeguarding issues.
- To understand and implement working practices set by the Safeguarding Adults and Children Board.
- To understand and implement working standards set by the domestic violence and abuse quality mark documentation.

**Charity Wide Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the daily prayer life of the charity
- Recognising the holistic needs of all service users and in accordance with the Trust Deed and affirm the spiritual needs of clients in their situations and either respond directly or refer as appropriate
- As an expression of their Christian faith and commitment, it is hoped that all our employees are willing to be involved in the activities of the churches and organisations that support the work
- Attend training courses and conferences in order to maintain personal development as agreed with Line Manager

**Job Purpose**:
This role is an integral part of the Fundraising team and contributes directly to the long-term income generation strategy of the charity.

Your job is to deliver agreed income targets across all events fundraising activities. Working effectively as part of a fundraising team to creatively inspire financial support for the Charity. Increase the Charity’s profile within the city of Leeds by planning, executing and promoting a variety of fundraising events alongside engaging with volunteer groups, potential supporters, organisations and local businesses.

**Key Job Role Responsibilities and Main Tasks**:
MARKETING AND PROMOTION: Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials, utilising media, and communication channels to reach and engage the target audience.

BUDGET STEWARDSHIPS: Contribute to the development of income and expenditure plans for the Fundraising Team, and to monitor and report regularly on individual events budgets and income forecasts and variances. Additionally, to support the Head of Fundraising to build an annual events strategy.

PROACTIVE/CREATIVITY: Identify new fundraising opportunities and initiatives in the City of Leeds. Motivate and inspire individuals and groups organising events or activities on behalf of St George’s Crypt.

DATA MANAGEMENT: Meticulously maintaining accurate records of donor interactions and contributions using the fundraising database (currently Harlequin). Ensuring the highest level of data integrity, confidentiality and accuracy is applied.

AMBASSADOR: Develop relationships with external partners and networks, ensuring any new networks are identified to maximise fundraising events and opportunities, including proactively approaching groups and associations to fundraise for the Charity and support them with their fundraising activity.

COLLABORATION: Collaborate with all internal departments and volunteers ensuring the Charity maximises cross-departmental opportunities for fundraising.

RESEARCH: Utilise database including the review of past fundraisers and events to encourage repeat fundraising. Conduct relevant research to support the Charity events fundraising strategy.

VOLUNTEER GROUPS: To assist with recruitment and retention of new Fundraising Volunteer Groups, working collaboratively with the Charity’s Volunteer Coordinator.

EVENTS: Lead the organisation of existing annual events and develop new events; ensuring all fundraising activities are cost effective with the best possible return on investment and profit.
