**A&P Group - Falmouth **Riggers / Slingers (Heavy Lifting)**

We have to safely and accurately move heavy objects around our facilities each day so we are looking Riggers / Slingers to join us full-time in permanent positions to support the team

Experience would be great and awe also have a small number of positions are available for ‘trainees' where training can be provided for those with limited experience

Are you skilled in positioning heavy objects using kit like cranes and hoists?

**Who we are**:
A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services tanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops

**What you will do**:

- Rig and hoist heavy equipment, machinery and components using cranes, hoists and other lifting equipment
- Inspect and prepare loads that need to be moved
- Select and prepare appropriate rigging gear
- Keep working area safe and tidy throughout and after job completion working to compliance with safety protocols and quality standards at the front of your mind

**What we are looking for**:

- If you're familiar with Falmouth you'll have seen how high our cranes are, so you must be able to to work at heights
- Previous experience as a Rigger / Slinger or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment, training can be provided if your experience is limited
- Absolute commitment to health and safety
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
