**Executive Support Officer**
**(to the Chief Executive & the Executive Leadership Team)**

**Purpose of the Role**:
- To act as the Executive Support Officer to the Chief Executive (CEO) of The Active Learning Trust.
- Support the CEO to manage their busy working week effectively. Anticipate needs, think critically and offer solutions to problems.
- To support the Executive Leadership Team in securing effective systems and practices across the central Trust.
- Build long-lasting relationships, both internally and externally to the Trust.
- Actively promote a positive, forward looking, results orientated and customer and public focused culture.
**Responsible to**:
Chief Executive Officer and other members of the Trust’s Executive Leadership Team.
**Responsible for**:
The post holder will not have direct line management responsibilities though may be asked to oversee the work of other administrative/apprenticeship staff as the need arises.
**Key Duties & Accountabilities**:
Executive support to the CEO
- Undertake the duties of executive support under the direction of the CEO. This will include significant self-direction to complete tasks, research projects, and first-point liaison duties for and on behalf of the CEO.
- Use data analysis, evaluation and reporting systems to produce materials such as presentations, briefing notes, responses and communications for a range of stakeholders including Trustees and Directorate leads.
- Be well prepared for and attend some school and other off-site based meetings to support the work of the CEO.
- Provide administrative and diary management for the Chief Executive of the Trust. This will include the preparation or reports, minutes, document sets and other preparatory work to ensure that the CEO is equipped to carry out their role effectively.
- Dealing confidentially and sensitively with communications to and from the CEO.
- Research, preparation and collation of papers for meetings. Attend and minute meetings and record actions with the end view of producing accurate and comprehensive notes to support school improvement as required by the CEO.
**Central Trust Support**
- To work with other colleagues in the central support team responding to general enquiries.
- Act as a point of contact/emergency or cover contact for internal and external communications with and for members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Provide assistance to members of the Central Team as required. For example, supporting the Executive Leadership Team both in the production of documents, keeping of records and organising meetings across the Trust with Trust colleagues, external agencies and educational professionals.
- Manage and administer bookings and house-keeping for meetings or internal/external events attended and/or organised by members of the Executive Leadership Team.
**Other Duties**
- To work flexibly across the range of duties of the central administrative support team on identified urgent project work.
- To deputise in the recording and noting of minutes/hearings or conferences as the need arises.
- To undertake any other duties within the nature and remit of the role.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
**Salary**: £26,845.00-£30,151.00 per year
