NES Fircroft are representing our client on their search for an - Operations Support Specialist.

**The Team**:
The Product Safety organization supports the entire R&D process. We influence the design and selection of optimal new chemistry, traits and formulations for full development in the early stage innovation pipeline. We then generate knowledge underpinned by sound scientific evidence to ensure our products and technologies are safe for both humans and the environment. We use that information to inform and implement our regulatory strategies and achieve the licenses to sell our products through regulatory approvals. The Product Safety Operations team supports the Product Safety organization in the efficient and effective delivery of its operational activities.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for updating information in the global portfolio management system related to Product Safety studies, such as the duration, cost, and status of tasks, according to agreed-upon business rules. You will work closely with project teams to continuously monitor and maintain high data quality across our systems, to support key performance indicator data to the business.

To be successful in this role you will enjoy working with systems, keeping them update, ensuring data is accurate, work with other team members to support the programme of work within Product Safety.

You will support Product Safety staff as a reference source for compliance of best practices, portfolio system management and troubleshooting.
- Working with scientific data for Product Safety (environmental, toxicology, residues, metabolism etc)
- Reviewing high impact scientific and financial data in the Project Planning database, looking among other things at the accuracy of the data, missing data and project deliverable.
- Meeting with project teams (Product Safety technical experts, Project Managers, Regulatory Managers) to question and challenge the data, and get information about tasks in scientific projects
- Updating the data in the Project Planning database
- Focusing on timely delivery of quality data, with a proactive approach
- Working against deadlines on multiple projects

Overall: Supporting Product Safety colleagues as a reference source for compliance of best practices, portfolio system management and troubleshooting

**Experience and skills**:

- We are looking for an excellent administrator with experience in the above areas or transferable skills.
- Bachelor degree or 5+ years’ work experience in similar roles to the above.
- Able to handle simultaneous sensitive assignments with success and accuracy.
- Focused on timely quality delivery, with a proactive customer orientated manner.
- Interest in change for the better, contribute to and support innovation.
- Note: some scientific background is a plus to have.
