Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation have the pleasure of working with an industry leading, ever growing paint manufacturing business based in Sheffield, who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with immediate effect

**Salary**: £39,89 plus 25% uplift on pay for nights, and 35% uplift for weekends
Location: Sheffield
Hours: Days and afters on rotation, nights and weekends on rotation in busy periods

Duties of this position:

- Being proactive within the job focussing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the infrastructure and Mechanical Control Systems
- Attending to breakdowns
- To maintain liquid transfer systems, relief devices, pumps, valves, gaskets etc
- To maintain and test safety critical equipment
- Actively working on a continual improvement project to ensure yourself and the company are the best it can be
- Dealing with PPM's
- Working within a team environment
- Have an understanding of basic health and safety and previous experience of working under legislations
Desired experience:

- You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ based)
- It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
- Ideally have experience within a similar environment/ job role but not essential
- Must be happy working days, afters on rotation with nights every 8th week
- Have experience of Fault finding within previous roles
- Ideally have FMCG Experience/ background
- Great communication skills (reading and spoken English is Essential)
- You must be open minded and flexible to change with the needs and growth of the business
- You must have electrical knowledge also for this role
