Reporting to: Course Manager

Clevedon Golf Club is looking to recruit an Apprentice Greenkeeper, to join our award-winning greens department. They will help with the day to day running and maintenance of the course and keeping it to a high standard.

This role consists of working outdoors.

Duties will include and full training will be given on:

- Assist the greenkeepers with course set up:

- Raking bunkers
- Moving markers
- Emptying bins
- Changing holes
- Working on all types of grass cutting machines
- Machine maintenance
- Greens maintenance, including aeration
- Apprentice will learn how to properly present a golf course for tournaments and provide exceptional playing surfaces
- Adherence to strict Health and Safety guidelines
- Other General duties

Hours of work and holidays
- The role is based on 41 hours per week, Monday to Friday, start time depending on the season. (Time is set aside for training in this period)
- Weekend and public holiday work is necessary on a rota basis.
- Flexibility is essential over the summer months.
- 28 days holiday.

Training

Training will be provided in the workplace where you will work towards the Level 2 in Greenkeeping accreditation.

This apprenticeship is recognised by the British & International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA), the professional body for Greenkeepers.

**Salary**: Up to £9.60 per hour
