Norwich, United Kingdom Aviva Full time

**Change & Transformation - Placement Year 2023**

**12-month Placement**

**Based in Norwich**

We have been in business for over 320 years. Two things we’ve learned - never rest on your laurels and always look for ways to innovate and improve.

Challenging the status quo, identifying and solving problems, creating innovative new solutions and delivering change across our business. In a nutshell, that’s what a year-long placement with us in Tech Change & Transformation is all about.

And you don’t need to be a tech expert to make the most of it. Instead, we look for people who are naturally curious and big picture thinkers. People who understand the impact technology can have and are eager to make change happen.

**Your role, more specifically**:
Our Tech Change teams work with the business on how technology can solve business problems, bring opportunities and create better experiences for our customers and colleagues. There are a number of different roles that play a part in that:

- **Business Analyst (Norwich) -** our Business Analysts evaluate business opportunities and identify areas for improvement. They capture requirements and drive solutions by helping us understand the customer needs we need to meet.
- **Project Manager (Norwich) -** our Project Managers are experts in organising - both themselves and others They’re comfortable taking the lead, but make sure everyone is heard. They ensure things get done in the right way and on time.
- **Resource Planner (Norwich) - **our Resource Planners work closely with the teams delivering change to ensure they have the right resources to deliver. They have sharp, analytical minds. They love working with data and get a real buzz from working with people too.

Whichever path you take, however, the breadth of experience and the variety of skills you can gain is immense. The work you do will be interesting and challenging. And you’ll do it with the full support of our brilliant technology community. Our Placements are designed to be a feeder into our Graduate Programmes. After successful completion, you may be offered a permanent graduate role starting in 2025 (after successful completion of your course).

**What’s in it for you?**
- A generous salary of £24,250 per annum
- Valuable real-world experience to support your academic studies
- Tremendous scope for on-the-job learning and other development opportunities
- A chance to work alongside and develop your skills with the best in the business
- Flexible working and wellbeing support
- 29 days holiday, plus bank holidays per annum
- Contributory pension scheme
- Discounts on all Aviva products
- Eligible for a performance-related bonus
- The prospect of a permanent role when you finish your degree

**What do we look for?**
- To be considered for a placement with us in Tech Change & Transformation, you must be:

- On a course that supports a placement year
- Available to work full-time (35 hours per week) from July 2023 to July 2024
- Intending to return to University for your final year of study after the placement

**Where will you be based?**

Our Change & Transformation placements are based in Norwich and it’s likely you’ll balance time in the office with working from home. We call this Smart Working. Three days in the office, and two days from home is a typical example, but that can vary. So, when you join us, your leader will discuss this with you and agree what works best for you, your team and the organisation.

It’s important to note, as we work this office/home blend, you will need to live within commuting distance of Norwich or be prepared to relocate for the duration of your placement. That way you will get to spend time with your team in person as well as virtually and get access to the right support networks internally to help you to succeed.

**A bit about us.**

We’re a leading international insurance, savings, retirement and investment business. When the worst happens, we’re here to put the wrongs right.

You might be thinking that we’re just another boring, corporate firm. But we don’t all wear suits and shiny shoes here. We’re proud to be different and just like our customers, our people are a diverse mix of cultures, genders, ages, perspectives and ideas.

**Like the sound of us? Then we like the sound of you.**

Impress us there and we'll offer you a placement to start in July 2023.

**Aviva is for everyone**:
**Job Type**: Graduate

Pay: From £24,250.00 per year
