Assistant Treasurer

**About The Role**

As a Finance Manager for Treasury you will develop the strategy, systems and processes for foreign exchange risk management, commodity hedging and other financial risk management. You will provide leadership and oversight to cash forecasting and daily cashmanagement, building strong relationships with banks, transacting treasury deals in accordance with Treasury Policy to reduce risk and maximise value for the company. Reporting to the Head of Treasury, you will be an engaging people manager, responsible forleading a team of 3 Treasury Accountants.

You will be fully responsible for both day-to-day and project work covering key areas:

- Banking operations
- Liquidity management including oversignt of SCF programme
- Cash flow forecasting
- Risk Management of foreign exchange (c £1bn)
- Risk Management of interest rate and commodities
- Oversight on treasury systems and processes

In addition, you will also assist the Group Treasurer on other larger projects (e.g. ancilliary facilities, M&As, and capital markets/bond issues). You will join the monthly Treasury committee and present Treasury reports and papers.

- A technical understanding of financial markets, derivative instrument mechanics and valuations
- Thorough knowledge of Treasury systems and control frameworks
- A Professional Qualification in Treasury (AMCT or MCT)
- Previous experience working within a corporate or financial services treasury function in a market facing role
- An Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work constructively with colleagues across the business at all levels
- Demonstrable team management experience as a motivating and inspiring leader

As well as looking after our cash, accounts and working capital, we also control costs, produce forecasts, deliver insightand manage supplier reporting and supplier payments.
