Job description
Our client is a well-known family owned and run business with a base in Stafford. They are a passive fire protection company. They specialise in the supply and installation of fire doors. Fire Barriers. Penetration sealing. Due to growth and expansion, theyare recruiting for a Estimator to join their team.
Qualifications/Skills
- Public Sector - must have experience dealing with public sector contracts / proposals / tenders
- Background construction experience a bonus.
- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths, English & Science
- Full driver’s license
- Good understanding of mathematics
- Good understanding of methods of construction
- Good people skills
- Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans, interpret drawings and ability to scale dimensions
- Familiar with CAD is desired but not essential
- SMSTS desired but not essential

Responsibilities - a brief overview to include but not limited to.
- Pricing up new enquires
- Conducting site visits for new enquires to familiarise yourself with the project and take dimensions as required
- Work on tenders and see them through from start to finish
- Placing orders and general assistance to the site teams
- Answering calls from clients, suppliers, and other contacts key to the company
