Cancer Services Data Clerk

To accurately collate Cancer Waiting Times (CWT) data and specific items of patient information for each new cancer patient within this Trust, according to the CWT guidance and submission deadlines. To use a range of the Trusts administration systems (Somerset, CareFlow, Etrack, ICE, CRIS), along with web-based NHS systems, to review clinical information and details written and reported within the patients electronic record. To validate the 28-day Faster Diagnosis Standard breaches for all cancer specialities. To ensure a high level of data completeness for COSD (Cancer outcome and Services Dataset) and national audits.

To be responsible for learning, developing and maintaining the level of required knowledge of cancer related terminology. To be responsible for keeping up-to-date with national CWT targets and related guidance. To be familiar with and abide by the Data Protection Act 1998 at all times.
