Orchard Professional Solutions are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a site supervisor. The client, who operate within the Water maintenance industry, works with major water companies across the UK.

**Site Supervisor**

**Duties /Responsibilities**

**1.** **Planning**
- Supervise and assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and suitable storage of building materials and plant
- Review, during site set up day, all documentation and ensure working methods have been agreed, are appropriate and safe
- Ensure the whole team has the correct personal protective equipment required for the project
- Report all defects in tools, plant, equipment and materials before start of project where possible
- Identify all hazards to new site personal and site visitors
- Inform management of any change to state of health, either temporary or permanent, which might affect working
- Manage the delegation of tasks within the team to provide the most efficient plan to complete the project(s)
- Liaise with the Project/ Site Coordinator to ensure all project requirements are running to schedule

**2. Communicate effectively with management, Clients and wider team**
- Ensure appropriate use the welfare facilities by the team
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment (E.g., full PPE, at all times)
- Deliver Site Inductions, Tool box talks, safety bulletins, etc.

**3. Ensuring legal compliance by the team at all times and oversee all matters relating to Health, Safety, and Environment**
- Ensure there is no danger to yourself or other persons through actions or failures to act
- Lead on all aspects of health, safety and welfare
- Follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) and Construction Phase Plans (CPP)
- Ensure the team uses the correct tools and equipment for the task, and only use tools which are in good condition
- Comply with the requirements of the Safety Policy
- Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner
- Ensure the whole team, including sub-contractors operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training e.g. diggers/dumpers/compressors
- Follow all training and reasonable instructions given
- Timely and accurate submission of timesheets.

**4. Oversee all matters relating to Quality**
- Take overall responsibility for the Supervision of quality on site at all times
- Ensure that all quality documentation is filled out accordingly
- Monitor temperature control systems to ensure works stay compliant
- Ensure all and any material is stored safely and suitably on site, and that all storage complies to relevant legislation
- Maintain site cleanliness and hygiene

**5. Performance
- Monitor, review, challenge site standards and maintain the Company brand**
- Refrain from horseplay and ensure the whole team conducts itself in a professional manner at all times
- Ensure project is on program
- Take responsibility for the safe keeping of machinery and materials on given projects including ensuring equipment is off hired in a timely fashion
- Understand Project/ Site Coordinators, Project Manager reports and forecasts on a regular basis, to keep up to date with progress and manpower on projects

**Essential**
- CSCS Blue card or willingness to obtain
- EUSR Water Hygiene Card or willingness to obtain
- Certificate in Confined Spaces or willingness to obtain
- SSSTS or willingness to obtain
- Experience of working on-site, in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to work well leading a small team, as well as work alone and use own initiative to solve problems and complete daily tasks
- Possess a conscientious and positive attitude to work
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely, following relevant training
- Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility
- Ability to lift, carry and push equipment
- Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and report relevant matters
- Demonstrate good driving skills in company vans. Driving will be monitored and tracked
- Willingness to attend training courses, as and when required
- Willingness to travel and work away from home, as and when required

**Desirable**
- Experience gained within the water industry, ideally clean water industry, at any level
- Certificate in Manual Handling
- Possess a full, clean UK driving licence
